Man Child: Haile Selassie

14 x 17 Original Charcoal Drawing on Paper

Man Child

In this drawing, Haile Selassie is portrayed as a youth,  looking straight forward with his eyes staring boldly with a glow. His closed mouth displays a character of seriousness. The presence of the man child is strongly felt in this piece. He is wearing what appears to be a robe or a cloak. His left arm is rested on some sort of object while only his hand remains visible. His posture stands upright in firmness even at a tender age, bringing forth the feeling of a man in H.I.M as a child.
